GOLDEN APPLES OF THE SUN by Ray Bradbury

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

Golden Apples of the SunFrom Publishers Weekly:
“A half century after its initial appearance, Bradbury’s fourth published book remains vivid and memorable. The original table of contents is restored (under Joe Mugnaini’s iconic original cover art), with Bradbury’s familiar and characteristically wistful, dreamy fantasy, such as ‘The April Witch,’ a haunting tale of teenage dream-traveler Cecy and her desperate desire for romance, mingling with brilliant science fiction like the title story and the widely reprinted ‘A Sound of Thunder.’”

James P. Blaylock — THE ADVENTURES OF LANGDON ST. IVES Cover Posted

Monday, February 11th, 2008

The Adventures of Langdon St. IvesThe sharp eyed among you will notice that the front of the dust jacket for James P. Blaylock’s compendium of steampunk novels and short stories, The Adventures of Langdon St. Ives, is actually a redesigned version of the cover for his novel, Lord Kelvin’s Machine, contained in the omnibus. Along with the great cover, J. K. Potter contributed nearly 20 full page interior illustrations, bringing this alternate 19th century to life.

We’re also pleased to announce that Jim Blaylock is at work on an original St. Ives story, the first in nearly two decades, which will make an appearance in Subterranean Online.
